Softball Champions Set All-Time Winning Record The Ravenswood data processing employee
softball team did it again - they recently won their 12th
championship out of 15 years of play in the local industrial league. This also marks their eighth consecutive
year for winning the championship. The
team has been managed for the past fifteen years by Joe Umana, tab machine
operator. Umana also serves as the pitcher for the team. Included in Umana's
superb softball managing record are two Chicago city-wide championship
teams. The Ravenswood team has
qualified to play for the Chicago city-wide industrial championship in every
year since 1969, and it has been ranked among the top four industrial
softball teams in Chicago for seven years.
