The Annual Luncheon Meeting of the Madison Chapter of
Veterans Association of Chicago and Northwestern Railway was held on
This year, as last, we invited the Milwaukee Road Employee Group, and some of these members attended.
The meeting was called to order at
President Mundth gave thanks for the opportunity to get together to renew acquaintances and make new ones and said a blessing for everyone’s safe return home after the luncheon and for the food we were about to receive.

After the meal an introduction of guests was made. The following persons were introduced:
C&NW Vets Association General Secretary Treasurer Dianne Koppleman, Curt
Schmidt, President of the Milwaukee Chapter and his wife Barb, Dan and Yvonne
Sylvester of the Waukegan/Kenosha Chapter, Rod and Kay Ewert from the Green Bay
Chapter, ,. Green Bay Luncheon is to be held
Door prizes were dispersed. This year’s door prizes included 25 C&NW Vets Association Logo Madison Chapter Mugs, several bottles of wine, train colanders, six pack coolers with soda pop, flashlights and more.
Don reported that Ron and Dixie Marquardt have graciously helped a great deal with this year’s luncheon. They obtained a number of the door prizes and most of the raffle prizes. Don thanked them for their help and they were given a big round of applause for their efforts.
A raffle was held this year with some very nice prizes. Duane Van Haren provided a “Bucky Badger”
