Green Bay Chapter Meeting
July 20, 2014 The following minutes to be read at our next meeting
at Stadium View on Friday September 19, 2014. President Truman Koehn of the C&NW Veterans
Association read the minutes of the previous meeting which was held at Titletown Brewery on Wednesday July 16, 2014. 6 members were in attendance. No activities to report from NARVE at this time. Old Business:
We now understand that the crude oil coming from the Bakken range will
be piped to Green Bay from the Chicago area via existing gas pipe lines, then
be loaded in tank cars at North Green Bay and shipped in unit trains from
Green Bay. This operation should start
late in 2014 or early in 2015. New
tracks will be built in the North yard at Green Bay to handle this traffic. New Business:
There was a general discussion on railroad pensions and railroad
insurance. Report on sick members: Nothing new to report. Report on deceased members: Nothing to report. Our next meeting (after September 19, 2014 annual
luncheon) will be at the Titletown Brewery on
