Green Bay Chapter Meeting
June 18, 2014 The following minutes to be read at our next meeting
at the Titletown Brewery on Wednesday July 16,
2014. President Truman Koehn of the C&NW Veterans
Association read the minutes of the previous meeting which was held at the
National Railroad Museum on Wednesday May 21, 2014. 4 members were in attendance. No activities to report from NARVE at this time. Old Business:
None. New Business:
We will look into the possibility of changing our meeting time for
C&NW Veterans Association from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, still on the third
Wednesday of each month. We will
discuss this further at the July meeting. Open discussion included High Speed trains and the
fact that some states including Wisconsin and Florida have turned down
federal money, electing not to promote additional rail service in their
states. Report on sick members: Dick Jobelius
& Dick Piontek remain on the sick list. Report on deceased members: Jerome Szutkowski
(member), Agent/Telegrapher passed away on May 22, 2014 at the age of 86. Our next meeting (after July 16, 2014) will be on
Wednesday August 20,
