The following minutes to be read at our next meeting at the National Railroad Museum on March 18, 2015 at 10AM.

President Truman Koehn read the minutes of our previous meeting of January 21.

5 members were in attendance February 18, 2015.

Old Business:  None

New Business:  Herb Hessil and Truman Koehn drove to Manitowoc to attend the funeral of one of our members, Don Manlick, age 77.  Besides Don's railroad career, he was also a nationally recognized modeler.

A discussion followed regarding the ongoing rash of derailments and fires involving unit trains of crude oil from the Bakken Range.  Despite constant studies and modifications, no solution to this problem has yet been found.

The Spring 2015 issue of "Classic Trains" magazine is a special issue devoted to the history of the EMD  F-Units.  On page 83 of this issue is an article by former C&NW Vice President, Chris Burger.  Titled "North Western's Executive F7s", Chris provides an interesting insight into the operation of these C&NW "ambassadors” along with nice colored photos. This article is 6 pages long.  Anyone with a historical interest in the F-units or the C&NW, will find this issue to be full of information. The news stand price is $8.99 and will be available until the end of May 2015. This is a Kalmbach Publication.

No report from NARVE at this time.

Report on sick members:    None
