Illinois Division Conductor Charlie McLaughlin retired in November 1998 with 42 years of
service. Elsewhere on the site are some
pictures of Charlie taken around the
time he hired out and also of Charlie’s
father, Clarence (Mac) McLaughlin. Mac was also a conductor on the Galena
Division (later renamed Illinois Division) and had a seniority date of
Sincere thanks to Mark Llanuza for these pictures and to Rex Hauser for making the identifications.
