Back at Bain, Wally noticed this memorial plaque to Wayne A. Hirsch. Wayne was a machinist at Huron, South Dakota and was there during Alco times prior to coming to Bill. Wayne is remembered as an excellent mechanic and was liked by all. He succumbed to brain cancer in 1997.
